The PS2 is picky about USB sticks, i personally used a 4GB Kingston DataTraveller. You could also try a portable HDD.

I've tried more memory sticks with the media player, but I get 'no files found' messages in the corner
Every time I run somthing through the media player I get a blank screen, when I try running swapmagic.elf it flashes up then I get a black screen
do I just need another memory stick to try it with?
EDIT: Kingston data traveler you say? hmm, I might ask my friend and borrow his :)
Its an original fat ps2 39003 PAL version
I think it is the memory sticks problem but I will try again, I will just try it normally then try it with swapmagic
EDIT: No, its not having it, still getting black screen. I'm gonna have to wait for that data traveller
You might try FCEU.ELF/FCE-Ultra for PS2.
Btw.: Try to reformat your USB-Stick completely and put 'uLE' onto the root of your stick. Try again to start it,...
It is, but its use here would just be to test your ELF launch method with yet another ELF file. So this is just one more way of checking if your ELF launching works at all.
uLE == unofficial LaunchELF == A generic system maintenance program for the PS2Quote:
I'll try again with reformatting, because I know the ps2 actually reads the information on memory stick because the light flashes
What is this uLE? I have the folder on my pc but I don't know what it is
It includes a programmable quicklaunch menu for your favorite ELF files, a FileManager which can handle all PS2 devices, a simple TextEditor and several other practical utilities, all in a single program ELF file.
You can think of it as a simple 'desktop' program for your console, and its general usefulness is attested by the fact that it has been one of the standard accessory programs for FMCB since quite early in its development.
