    Hey,
I'm using the guide from lookatthemonkeys.com, and it says to make a disc to check your PS2's IP address. For the config.dat file-is it supposed to be blank?Since whenever I boot up the cd I made it just gives the IP addresses that were prewritten in the file, should I leave it blank so the PS2 can get the real addresses?

one more question-when I boot the disc with cogswaploader it spins so fast I'm afraid it'll burn out the lazer, and when turned off, it won't stop spinning for a long time.Is that good or bad?

I just use something like "angry IP" to scan for the ps2 IP .
Just have the ps2 online with a game whem you scan....
    Easier I think.

or just use any legit online game or the network adapter startup disk, anything that gets your ps2 connected to the network so you can find the IP.
    check out my tutorial at:
    http://ps2.lookatthemonkeys.com
    and check out my site
    http://lookatthemonkeys.com

Tutorial includes: MC exploit, ExectFTP, FAPLink, KeyLauncher, HDD parititions, LaunchELF, 48bit patching, skinning HDL/HDA

Message me for any additions you would like to see on the tutorial.

i believe if u want to connect directly, u need a "cross cable" instead of a normal network cable. im not too sure because i myself use a router and just let my ps2 joint the network.

to get the IPconfig file to work correctly I put it in the sys-config dir on the MC, try that.
