need help ftping into ps2

im new to this ps2 forum i have a ps2 with a 250gb hardrive and i had like 40 games on it and i got GT4 and wanted to back it up so it started to copy the game to the hard and it was coping very quick until the end when it said finalizin g and it froze so i turned of the ps2 and tried to get back to the hd loader screan so i could try and back up the game again but now it freezes on the screen right before it shows me the games and the hd starts making alot of noize what i want to do now is connect to the hd on the ps2 through ftp to erase what ever was saved by coping GT4 but i cant on the keylauncher screen i choose excecftp and it loads and it stops were it says something through port 21 and then i go to flashfxp and i put the ip that is on the excexftp and it keeps saying connection timed out i know im using flashfxp right cause i use it to connect to my xbox and it works. please help
p.s. if u know any beter way i could connect to the ps2 hd to erase the GT4 file let me know thanks for taking ur time to read this

THe only thing you can do is use *** format tool. Once you get that on there you should be able to wipe the gt4 partition.
