need help everythings working except my controllers

im running a slim ps2 with freeboot installed by swap magic 3.8, ive got burnt games loading up but my controller has no effect, it works fine in non burnt games and in freeboot menus but not my burnt copy of ubderground 2, please help

you know you should use ESR for patched DVDs backup .

sorry ill explain a bit better, i am using esr, it loads it up the way its suppose to but when the games on controller doesnt work, i installed the noobie package so i have everything ready and right, everything seems to be running fine, but when the game loads the controller wont work :S

can you try without a controller and when game loads plug the controller and see what is gunna happen .

im using dvd-rw 4.7 g at 4x pacthing with esr patcher, burning image thru imgburn, putting disc in ps2, loads esr automatically, run cdvd, it loads up but controller wont work, i have the slim soft modded with the tape and paper method on the sensors for when i used swap magic only, that shouldnt have an effect though? i think?,

just tried unplugging it then back in didnt work i tried it unplugged from system on then plugging in for esr, didnt work
then i tried unplugged till esr, the unplugged again while game loaded, didnt work

Are you using a Dualshock2 controller? Some games do not support the older Dualshock controllers, which were used with the original Playstation console.

If you cannot get your controller working, just stick to using your original disc....
