That still doesnt asnwer my Q. lol
FH
FH: you will have to backup your data, then format your memory card.
ensure in future that your INSTALL.CNF do not install to subdir's.
mc0:/BOOT/DIVX/PS2MEDIA.ELF is a BIG NO-NO.
however
mco:/PS2REALITY/PS2MEDIA.ELF is a big yes-yes
you should put ps2rmp in /PS2REALITy anyway because it puts it's settings and your background JPG in there anyway - why create 2 dirs when you don't need to?
good luck
Thanx,
But the Q i was referring to was the last Q i posted.
Where i did exactly that above, but i just get a blank screen
Thx in advance
Kind Regards

So they are, for you, or me, or many others here.Originally Posted by HypERSoniC

You and I have already agreed that the fully compatible method of usage is not the one recommended in the release package, as that produces corrupt blocks that can't be handled by the browser. And it's really unfair to call it a user error, when a user merely follows the manufacturer's instructions.the explorer ****IS**** fully compatible. it's got nothing to do with an error on the users's behalf. as far as the explorer is consderned it's just doing what it's being told to do.
I'll modify my stand on this when the *** site contains an installation disk for the explorer that will install it by the 'fully compatible' method, and whose doc's also recommend that method for other applications. But until that happens I consider the problems to be inherent to the released package, even though I do agree that it's possible for well informed users to get around those problems, as already discussed in depth.
You and I clearly agree on the facts of this matter, though we do disagree in our view of where the main reponsibility for the problems lies. (*** vs Users) Continuing to discuss that aspect is not likely to change the mind of either of us, and I suggest we spare the other users having to read about it. So, let's either 'agree on disagreeing' on that aspect, or continue in PM if you wish.
No argument on that score. That's how to do it, generally.how to fix the users's error (using the wrong \ / )? ftp over your ELF in correct dir, and ftp over a new icon, then a new menu.txt to /BOOT
The only problem here is that FarenHeit has no FTP setup, but uses AR Max instead, but the same principle still applies. The difference is that before modifying an existing folder he first needs to transfer that folder as a MAX file to the PC, then use PS2SaveBuilder to add/remove stuff and then send it back again.
FarenHeit:
I finally found time to reply to your PM on this stuff, so check that out if you haven't already.
Best regards: dlanor
personally also mcloader is a bit offstardard in this way. it's badder.
i used to load *** explorer then mcloader then ps2rmp but i discovered it store all in subfolder by default but for error i tried deleting it. actually i can't delete it from the mc but only with a ftp session i resolved all by deleting all subfolders and all worked fine. i have about 6 mc but only one time i needed to format it (i have *** explorer with all the subfolder you want) when ar max corrupted his save and i couldn't delete it
