Heya all, looking for a good solution of getting PC and PS2 communicating. So far, I'm looking at the following options:
SharkZip drive for $119 (don't have that kinda money to throw away)
Memory card Expander (32MB) for $23 (needs licensed memory card to operate >.< )
Memory card Adapter for $20 + Smartmedia adapter for $9 (best solution imo, since I can use standard smartmedia cards (right?) though I'm curious to compatibility issues with my US playstation... (It's also got a PC connector port, though I think I need a special cable for it) and also works with certain 8/16/32MB EMS flashcarts. http://www.ps2modchip.com/search.php?page=ps2028
Interact 32MB memory card (this appears to not have a loader CD any longer. Does that mean it can finally do magic gate? and will I get 32,768KB available on PS2's browser & games? Likewise with the rest of these over 8MB solutions?)
More information on the Memory Card Adapter would be nice, does anyone have one of these? Perhaps the smartmedia adapter also?
I'd really love to use smartmedia cards with my PS2, since that would allow me to copy files between PC and PS2 quite easally... And the other thing, can I use a standard smartmedia reader on the PC side to copy files? (i doubt this, accually) Or will I have to rely on the adapter's PC link + smartmedia adapter to write PS2 files?
Someone, heeeeelp meeee!
I'm lost in a sea of data, and I can't sift through all of it at once...
