I was wondering if there was a program that allowed media streaming like xbmc. Of course not necessarily to the same extent but for movies etc.
thanks

I was googling and came accross this program called Qcast is it anygood ?
thx
Qcast is old school I used it back in the day (The first version that came out) it kind of sucked, no fast forward/rewind) but it did get the job done...barelly....but newer versions im assuming should be better.

Is there anything better than that ?
ps2reality media player can stream from local network
yup, and it's free ! still nothing compared to XBMC, but it's a good start.

The reason I was posting this is I was offered a trade for my xbox(also modded)and some games for a PS2+games and I wasn't sure if I could part with xbmc :o

No! DO NOT do that, you'll regret it and miss XB Media Center dearly!
if you use your console for games, trade it. if you use your console for homebrew (xbmc) then stay with the xbox.
I use it for games mostly and when it comes to homebrew xbmc is really all I use but I do love it. It just seems to play everything ;p ... although I'd be happy with a Divx capable player which the ps2 has. I have most of my movie collection on my hard disks on my PC .. for ease of access and I stream them over to my xbox to watch and realityplayer appears to do that too ?
Can you expand a divx movie to take up 4:3 just like on xbmc ?
