Open the CUE file in Nero and it will burn automatically in MODE2. Then just pop it into your ps2.
Just for your info, there is a newer and better version, v1.50 which includes jpg viewing along with a few other new and improved features. This newer and better version is already collecting dust though, and your v1.28 is vastly outdated.
Check my sig for more info.![]()
thanks very much for the reply.disk booted first time.plays all my divx/xvid movies.that will save me buying a new standalone dvd/divx player.
cheers.
How do you burn the divx files to cd? Jsut normally? And you still have to swap right? Or what?
You can burn the divx files, just like you would any ps2 disc. (Basically means it just needs to be in MODE2/XA format.) But yes, if you swap to get the media player booted, you also have to swap the player out (it stays resident in the memory) for the disc with the AVI(s) on it. This is how I always do it.
Do you need a modchip do to this?
Take care of your Playstation's lens, playing divX straight from CD, make the lens works all the time you're watching your divX.
That's why I was wondering if there is any way to play a movie copied in the HDD ?
PS : Sorry for my poor english![]()
ZxeroXXX, you need either a modchip, or a swap method to boot the media player. (Its just like a ps2 game backup)
Tsutsi17, I have been using the media player on my ps2 since v1.00 came out, and I use it alot. My ps2 is also somewhat old, and I have never had any problems. My laser is still working 100%.
does this work with cds that have the avi's on them that are copied to the HD?
thanks
Nope. The Media Player does not link to the sony sdk, so hdloader does not recognize it, and will not mount the drive's files as so. (Despite being able to boot the player from hdloader, when you go into the browser, it will still read from cd.
