Mame roms resetting

I made a mame ps2 cdr and its working great, but alot of roms just do nothing when I click on them, but when I try them on my pc they work fine. Some are real old ones too, like galaga, mappy, mario bros, etc. Any ideas?

MAME for PS2 isn't all that great...the developer who ported it to prove 2 points:

#1 - That it could be done
#2 - That the PS2 isn't capable of supporting a quality port of Mame

I'd suggest sticking with your PC for arcade emulation and not PS2...

Oh, and to answer your question, Mame for PS2 isn't compatible with much of anything....and sometimes it can take a really long time to load the roms it can boot...so maybe fix something to eat whilst it loads, and if it hasn't in about 3-4 minutes, then there's a pretty good chance the rom won't load up at all. Something that also helps (compatibility and loading time-wise) is to turn off the sound.

Some are running a little slow but most are working fine.

I will test some more in the near future. If anyone has more to add to the list or want to know about a specific rom let me know.
