Mame For PS2

Has anyone been able to successfully use this emulator for PS2?

Yes!!! It works!!! Unfortunately it works on NTSC system only instead of PAL...however it works!

Mine did not work. I have Swap Magic with Slide-Card but not modded my PS2. Does anyone know this will work for PS2 to play mame roms? Or Mod-Ps2 is required?

Not for YOU it won't work. Won't run on 10k's since it needs lisbd.irx in rom0, and those dont have it.

i never even tried, but im just saying what the maker said
"this is a test, so dont expect sound etc.." if i remember right

while on the topic of 10ks, since there was a way of making the ps2reality player v1.28 work on the 10k with the 3 extra drivers, is it possible to do the same with other ps2 homebrew?

some, but not all, it just depends on the creator's knowledge of 10k's, I recall reading one ps2 app's inserts saying that it would work if you put lisbd.irx on the cd in the root, he must have taken 10k's into account, and added a line to check the cdrom0 root directory, if it fails to be found in rom0, I haven't had the time to cross test everything on the 10k, yet, since the DTL-H10000 I use (all debuggers, actually) wont authenticate ps2 cd-r's, (ALL cd-r's authenticate as PSX cd's) I have to remaster all my old homebrew original emulator builds to dvd, just to exparament. I do also have a DTL-H30001, so I can cross test when I have the time to get it all togther.
If you browse ps2 discs, you might notice directories of irx drivers, that other consoles don't need to have, there, that have obviously been added for the benefiet of the 10k consoles out there.
Same principle.
Any other insight on which ones have 10k add irx instructions would be appereciated...
