Test it on a NTSC ps2 and it works fine, same as you described.

Manual mode vibrates the controller, auto mode makes a dingy sound, music plays good, image moved smoothly.

lolz, yea that is a big ELF for a screen saver!!

@ejssoft, you can use ps2-packer to compress the elf. Hell, this is one very "fat" ELF

LOL, it's more of a Hello World, actually. Unless... when running it in NTSC doesn't show the background image which is 640x480, larger than the 640x448 NTSC displays...

I will try it, but MP3 is responsible for 6 mb of it, and shouldn't be too "compressable"...

Yep, i seen "Hello World" afterwards at the top of the screen and yes it displays the background in 640x448 just fine.

i was just kidding about it being a 'screen saver'......

After seeing ffgriever's effort to reduce ESR's memory needs, I decided to go the opposite way...

So how would I use gsKit to

    1) set resolution 480p
    2) load and image from hdd0:/+MyProject/images/image01.png
    3) display that image on the screen?
    4) use any button on the stick, f ex R2, to change between 576p, 576i, 480p and 480i
