MacOS X compilers, NetBSD/PS2, PS2ID/Send0R copy center in Detroit –
To those interested -
I've compiled a complete tool chain for MacOS X 10.2.8 for homebrew PS2Dev. This includes GCC 3.3.1 for the Mac (the included compiler for OS X Jaguar is based on 3.1), GCC 3.2.3 (C compiler only at the moment) and binutils 22.214.171.124 for both IOP and EE, and pksh for the Mac. The tools have been tested with several homebrew examples and work fine. They do require the MacOS Developer tools to have been installed (for the Mac compiler, at least).
We're providing these to our students that are about to take a PS2 Game development track. As far as I know, we're the only ones offering such a complete line of courses that include and specialize in the "homebrew" method.
We're also working on updating the NetBSD PS2 port, and can provide PS2 Independence or Send0r memory card copies to anyone in the Detroit area (or we'll sell and ship them to anyone not in the Detroit area who wants one for a small fee).
