I know that the source is available to compile... But I cant even figure that out.

does anyone have the actual elf file that they could send me... I've found a few games and demos I'd like to tryout... and maybe have some fun coding on it.

I'm still having problems grasping C++.... I think I'll just wait for the class at the local college starts to get back on that.... I think it is true that it's much harder to learn a lower level programming after starting with a high level programming...

we released a bin of it a while back, the same one available to early pal users. Since this was free and open source; on top of the fact that sony sorta violated the yabasic licensing. we figured, hey what are they going to do? Sue us? As far as we are concerned we didnt violate any copyrights or lisences. however, we dont have it available for dl anymore.

you cant compile their sources for various reasons, one of which is that its missing some stuff. Sony is definetely no friend of open source regardless of what they make people believe.

i would also be extremly interested in this, seens it doesnt look as if it is breaking any copyright laws, does anyone have a link for the bin (so i can convert it to elf) or for an elf.

What's the point of this program?

    [RANT]
Copy it to MC, run the ELF, and then admire the beautifully black screen forever ?

I did read the original readme of the PS2 release too, and nowhere does it say anything about how to get the program to do anything at all. Instead it wastes space and time on discussing the history of the program, plus internal functionality details that really belong in the source code...

I guess I can find out how to use it from studying the sources, but IMHO that should not be necessary. Someone should add a proper readme.txt to the project, mentioning something about how to use it.
    [/RANT]

    Best regards: dlanor

i have yabasic on a demo disc..

but i cant read it since i am loading my OS from cdrom.. haha i hate my computer

edit - put the yabasic folder from this archive onto the root of a cd.

    point the system.cnf to cdrom0:\YABASIC\YABASIC.ELF

this was directly ripped from my demo disc
