Launcher menu –
03-20-2006,05:50 AM
I'd like a menu launcher! Why? Well, like this: Let's say I'd like to compile a DVD with all kinds of ROMs and all kinds of emulators. Fine, I can do that, and start the emulator I want using uLaunchElf.
But for this task (just launching what I want to run) uLaunchElf is overkill, and really not that "user friendly" approach as I'd like.
How about a nice GUI app (that boots when I boot the disc) that lists all .ELF files it finds on the disc, and lets me launch whatever ELF it's found?
Maybe even read a config file where I can specify a name for each ELF ("INFOGB.ELF,GameBoy|PS2GEN.ELF,Sega MegaDrive") to make it even more user friendly?
Had I known C, (unfortunately C isn't my "native language") I'd start writing such an app immediately!

that would be cool to have all my emulators & roms on 1 DVD. How did you get that twork with ulaunch.elf?

Just a disc with all emulators on, and all kinds of ROMs
Browse the disc with uLaunchElf (started from BootManager, got a Crystal chip) , launch the emu you want.
I guess I could have uLaunchElf to boot from the disc too...
