I have an iPod and u can use that as a normal hdd..
only when i try it with launchelf, new mp3 player(SE 1.1) OR keylaucnher 05
it freezes :chinscrat :chinscrat
is this normal and is the ipod just not Ps2 compatible?

And where do you have to put the usbd.irx? (did it in almost every dir)
I was wondering about this myself as I also have an iPod and was going to experiment myself. It just might be that since it has to have drivers installed that it won't allow you to use it. You say you put elf's etc . . . on it and loaded it and freeze right? and the usbd.irx can be in any of the specified places such as sys-conf, ps2oscfg, etc . . . it depends on what program is trying to load it. Have you tried a regular thumbdrive? BTW make sure that it is capitalized!Quote:

Well it might just be the version of USBD.IRX that you are using. Try napalms version which you can get from naplink...http://naplink.napalm-x.com The sys-conf dir is in mc0: or mc1: it's usually to the bottom.Quote:

Well then thats good news, it's easier to transfer mp3's to the ipod rather than ftp or anything else and it can hold a lot more. Thanx for testing this!Quote:

okay I got it to play an m3u for songs off of the ipod by setting the location of the songs as "mass:/title.mp3".

Uuum, well no not really. I personally have only thought about doing this but have never gotten around to it. luukhh however put this into action. The version of the USBD.IRX he was using wasn't working so I suggested to him where he could find one and with testing he found that his problem was solved and that it loaded as mass in the apps. We both can say that it works for ps2mp3 and luukhh said that it doesn't for ps2os, it loads it and you can pick mass but it then freezes. I don't know if that answers your question or not.Quote:

Oh okay now I understand. Well it might, as I told him, try the napalm USBD.IRX. If that doesn't work, then it might just be that your usb drive is incompatible.Quote:
