imbNES PS2 problem

I'm trying to load imbNES on my PS2 via MC & ps2OS. I get a black screen with only a white playstation logo and scea. I've burned discs using the image creator with the rombuilder, made my own image with cdgenps2 and burned with nero and cdrwin, am i missing something? one interesting thing happened though, when I made a disc with nero and jus dropped the files in, when I played th disc I got the regular PS splashscreen??? im going crazy!!!

i think you have to have a modchip that will play ps1 backups because this is a ps1 formatted program... i think you can do it with a ps1 gameshark but i;m not sure

I read here that you can boot a PS1 disk through ps2OS. That part worked and like I said I got to the PS1 logo screen then... that's it.

Can you boot normal PS1 games using PS2OS because it seems only some PS2 versions (v9+?) work?

you have to have a v9 or higher for that or the keylauncher psone boot to work, if you don't have a v9+ all you will get is the ps screen then nothing
