The question pretty much says it all.
I opened pcsx2 and tried to open an elf file. I have plenty of them, but it just kind of froze up. Is there a certain way I need have anything setup for it to work?

File>Open ELF file.
it uses the fakehost method to open files directly. you don't need any other files apart from the dependancies of the file you are running. (KL.DAT for keylauncher, etc etc)
keep in mind that it will take several seconds/minutes to load up the screen. some elf's just plain don't work either. try something simple like LaunchELF , i've tried that and it works fine.
Yeah, I played around with it for a bit and got HDA and HDL to eventually load, but KeyLauncher wouldn't load for me at all. I was hoping I might be able to use it to test out my elf files if and when I make little changes to them before actually putting them on my mc.
yeah that's what i do tooit's handy.
which bios are you using?
scph10000
I tried dumping mine from the mc, but the elf wouldn't boot from KeyLauncher. I meant to try a new bios dump eventually. You think that'll help the problem.
i've dumped my bios, it's best to get the host: version and execute the ELF with ps2link. then you;'ll get a copy dumped to your PC.
although it won't make any diffrences in PCSX2, infact, the only bios supported *excluding* the new 0.7 release was the scph10000 bios
Well, I do have the new version. I'd rather dump it to my mc, then use Execftps to transfer it to my pc.Originally Posted by HypERSoniC
