Okay, there's a working trick to run programs off of a mem. card on an unmodded PS2. I'm seeing a lot of different ideas with what to do with this great breakthrough, but there's one idea I haven't seen anyone discuss.

Why hasn't anyone tried to make a homebrew prog. that can be run off of a mem. card to let non-mod users play import games? I'm not talking back-ups here, I'm talking original import PS2 games here.

It wouldn't work IMO since as soon as you would eject the PSX original to replace it with your import by pressing the Eject button, the PS2 would proceed to re-authentifiate the disc inside the DVD-Drive and since the region wouldn't match the original console region, it would not boot.
