Help with dual PSX/PS1 memory card
Help with dual PSX/PS1 memory card –
Okay, I know some of you may be wondering what I mean when I say that, let me explain:
I have a red PSX memory card that that I think Interact made, on the PSX I can press Select + L1/R1 to access either side of it.
The problem: After saving a game one time while using this card on the PS2 it seems to have corrupted the second area, the PS2 itself says the card is "unformatted" but the PSX will show the first slot with all the saves. Now when I switch to slot 2 of the card no icons come up but when I play a game everything shows up.
I'm stuck as to what to do, format the card entirely or see if I can recover the lost/hidden saves. BTW uLE does not see the card at all.
I looked around a little bit and some say these cards use bank switching.
MCA dumps the card but the 128kb file is blank.
It has two banks, each by 128KB. There are plenty of cards like that, and it's transparent for console.
File system of the PSX cards will corrupting when You turn them off (removing cards, swapping cards etc.) during writing. Maybe this is the case.
How do you know they are blank?
Opened the file up in Hex Editor Neo, all 0's all the way from top to bottom.
