Has anyone patched Ico for 480i/576i or 480p/576p?
Has anyone patched Ico for 480i/576i or 480p/576p? –
Ico is one of very few PS2 games which output a 240p/288p non-interlaced video signal. Most PlayStation 1 and older consoles (NES, Super NES etc.) also output a signal like that.
Unfortunately some TVs and video capture devices don't like 240p/288p non-interlaced signals, especially when the PS2 is connected via component video. Has anyone figured out a patch for Ico to either force it to use interlaced output (480i/576i), or to progressive output (480p/576p)?
No need to patch anything, go for GSM, it's easiest way to do that. I myself had this same issue time ago with ICO game and GSM did the work.
Let me give you something that works for me and that game use GSM to force both 480i and p
downside in P mode it locks up on movie that runs if set to long and on i mode has graphic gliches on same movie otherwise works
