Gameshark not working

I lent a friend my gameshark2 he tried to put in cb codes, i have no idea why, now my gameshark2 wont load mny gameshark lite will play but only sometimes is there any way i can put gs2 or lite onto my memory card?

Do a factory Rest on your dongle.
GS2 sucks, get a codebreaker, its better, cheaper, and more codes

i already own 2 codebreakers for the ps2 version 1 and version 8.0 and i own one for the psx, though nothing is as good as my gameshark pro for my psx games , a factory rest what is that? how do i do that ?

But I cant even get to the main menu it freezes the playstaon logo comes out then a black screen and then it freezes

unless you can get it to play on someone elses machine, just buy a new one, I don't think they're that much. In the off chance it can be read on your pc, just make a backup.

which version of gamshark2? I have a bunch of them archived, I remaster them to dvd-r so I can swap trick dvd-r's like cd-r's do from the original cd, too, would have to mail you one though, cant post copyrighted meterial

yeah, you do, but a f'd up dongle usually freezes whilst "loading codelist", not before anything loads, hell it'll go that far without the damn dongle. usb linking does that to them sometimes, I inherieted several that way, you just need to use a good dongle to boot up, then switch the bad one back in and reset the hardware in options

v4+ does nto use a dongle, but the earlier ones do. i got mine for $4 shipped off ebay so its not expensive at all.
