i recently bought new ps 2 slim spch 90004 and just find where to see date code and its 1c do somebody have any info about this model bcozzz i wanted to install hdd on my console please helppppp

Me too. I bought ps2 slim 90004 with date code 0c.
I formatted the memory card and installed mcboot. Tested not working.
Probably mcboot is not compatible yet with these versions. Maby a newer version of mcboot will come out soon.

i Have read that free mcboot cannot be installed on after march models because of change in bios version.

Right.....

FMCB works till 90004 8a (8 = 2008, a = quartal 1) and you have 50% chance at 8b, cause the Bios is changed in this time, and FMCB don´t work anymore.....

yours is 0c (0 = 2010, c = quartal 3), so it can´t work....

But you can start your homebrew in these models with SWAP-MAGIG.
So you need a retail SWAP-MAGIG to Boot to uLE, and then you can start homebrew (OPL etc).....

If you want to play over USB-HDD or SMB (LAN) then you can let the SWAP-MAGIC DVD all time in the tray to start uLE and then OPL.

Cause i don´t have SWAPMAGIC, i don´t know if you can start automaticly OPL with the SWAPMAGIC.ELF trick or if you must boot first with this trick to uLE.

Use OPL or PS2ESDL instead of USBAdvance (old and not compatible with lots games)

I almost forgot about date code numbers.
These ps2 consoles with 2008 date codes are hard to find though!
Personally, i think the swap magic disc works just fine, put in uLaunchELF and voila!

The difference is you have to manually change the disc every time you want to play.

If you want to play with DVD´s..... right.

But he asked to play over HDD......

If you want to play with DVD´s then it´s better to buy a mod-chip...
