How are you copying them at the minute? LaunchELF will let you mark multiple files and copy them in one go.

I Use PS2OS or Keylaunch to copy my roms to my hdd and its kinda slow since its so amny roms and i must copy them 1 by 1.
LaunchELF is your friend then. Get the latest version and use the built-in file browser to copy the files. I think X marks each file for copying and you can then bulk copy them.
Good Luck.

Do you know why I keep getting paste fauilers? I goto Filebrowser on my LaunchELF 3.4b and press X (Puts a star by it) and when I highlight it I press R1 to Copy and when I try to paste it fauils. Anyone know why?
you could also use FlashFXP to send the files over a network to the HDD... this is how I moved my 1500 (GB,NES,Genesis) games.
Ahh I would do that but networking never works for me =/ Well I guess ill go ahead and try this. edit: once again it doesnt work =o
some files it fails for me too, only on sega roms though. if they are in bin format, or if there is not enough space in the destination folder you will see that message
The only roms im copying are .nes and it dont let me copy no otheres. I dont think my folder destination's space is the reason (but it might) because 1 folder I cant paste nuffin to has about 20 roms and another has like 40 so I dont think its the folder's space. (I wish launch.elf ignored the files that couldnt be copy and continued copying instead of doing it mnaually)
the homebrew usb drivers are still beta and dont work with all usb devices, or devices that are formatted oddly. If the emu that you are going to use has zip file support then that is probably the way to go (although I dont recall zip file support being added to the emus for ps2 they may have been) - zipped roms, worth a try at any rate.
the current readme/issues about the drivers can be found here:
ps2dev.org cvs repository - usb mass driver readme
Not sure what version of the mass driver was built into LaunchElf, but I do know that ps2os' is quite dated.
edit: the usb_mass.irx mentioned in the readme is built into the elfs so you dont really need to add it (although I have not been able to get ps2os to work with any usb device)
