Error with ExecFTPs 0.68 running from ps2link v1.24b

When I lanuch the EXECFTPS.ELF from PS2EXEC or Inlink it looks like everything loads correctly(mind you I haven't seen it run correctly). It detects that it's running from ps2link and says that the FTP Server initalised on port 21, but when I try to connect it closes the connection. I have tried using both FlashFXP and the ms ftp command. All i get is
ftp> open 192.168.1.23
Connected to 192.168.1.23.
Connection closed by remote host.

The pc is running XP and I have tried 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.100 as ip address with the same result.
The PS2 is 192.168.1.23 using the max drive save from PS2DEV's Play Station 2 eXploit Made Easy (PS2XME) v0.9.0 beta.

Sounds like my problem...

Did you try to ping the PS2 from your computer?

ping -nc 1 192.168.1.23

Yes, I ran a ping and I get a responce. I just can't figure out why it's closing the ftp connection as soon as a client connects.

Are you sure you run ftp without account?

I tried

ncftp ftp://10.0.0.50

no luck...

but I'm in Linux and I guess I have to make my own FAPLink eventually, by screening its activity.
