Don't not install this. It f**ks your ps2 up. Wait for the next release to come out. If you have installed it and your ps2 fails to boot, press the reset key 4 times then insert your flash upgrade disc, and re-flash the chip. This should put everything back to normal.

Maybe Microsoft's Service Pack 2 people and the DMS3 people are working together here.

Are you sure you installed the 1.1 version and not the 1.0 version?

It even says in the DMS3 forums that to use 1.1 you need to flash the latest beta. With 2.3 it randomly craps your flash.

?
I got fw 2.4 beta 3 installed with HDD EX 1.1 since beta0 was released and everything works just fine.
Thing is, you have to re-install HDDEX 1.1 each time you flash with a new fw otherwise it hangs on a black screen... except for this, it works fine.
However, there's another issue i'd like to raise...
Filter decided that launching Execftp off HDDEX 1.1 would work but only showing MC (no PSF or HDD) although when launching Execftp off HDD 1.0, everything shows up & work fine.
Anyone have any idea why Filter decided to implement this restriction?
Later,
Alcahest

no ideally alca... i don't know why it would benefit him, but then again why would it not work with 1.1 if it did with 1.0 ? very puzzling
