Dev.olution Mode doesn't load up!!!

Hey guys,

I got my v9 ps2 chipped last week with a DMS V9 and so far everything is going ok. PS2 and PSone originals and imports as well as dvds work a treat.

Last night I managed to install DMS Explorer V1 via their boot disk onto my mem card. However when I boot up whilst holding down the triangle button, the ps2 goes to its default browser screen (i.e. greyish background with a black 3d model of memory card - for sorting mem card saves) instead of the DMS Explorer that I am supposed to have.

I checked the mem card and it has all the files needed for DMS Explorer. I also booted up with a disk and without one but still no change.....

I checked the DMS forum and someone else seems to have the problem. Have any of you guys heard of this prob and could you recommend anyway to sort it out? Is it a known case that out of all the functions, only one doesn't work. COuld it be something wrong with the chip?,is it the installation? or am I doing something wrong?

If you know the part of the soldering which specifically deals with Dev.olution Mode, could you please let me know as well so that I can tell the installer bout it

I downloaded and extracted the explorer 1.0 file and loaded the .cue in burnatonce and had no problems. I used these two tutorials to the letter and have explorer on 3 MC with ps2reality 1.50. I would uninstall and try again. http://dms3.com/manuals/u_explorer/u...plorerv1.0.htm
