Hard to tell what can crawl up the gamelist's butt, try replacing it with a straight copy off the cd that worked, and edit that one.
Naplink by Andrew K and NAPALM is a Windows program, and a ps2 cd-r that let you load demos off the computer, via a usb cable (Prolific PL 2301 $25 lik-sang), saving me many coasters. It plays ps2mame naplink version right off the usb...(on the actual ps2..usb port) and it loads really slowly that way, while the "host" proram in Windows lists every command "loading bla bla bla.." so if you have a bug, you see it and know what it is. I couldn't get it to load mame last night... "gamelist.txt error?" the file seemed fine, who knows, but I replaced it and started over, just like I jsut told you, and it worked, and that's how I know that. A very useful tool, for us "dev" guys. Theres another simil;ar tool called "Pukklink" that does about the same thing, only it uses the network adaptor, and loads demos off other peoples computers.
NEITHER OF THESE CAN HANDLE A COMMERCIAL GAME, DON'T BOTHER TO TRY. these are development tools only, but that's what I love to do.

A toxic agent on a dangerous mission so secret, even I don't know what it is, because if I did, I would have to kill myself. I don't even know who's side I am on.
