Well wtf, I downloaded the installer from codejunkies and it still gave me the error.
I recently downloaded XP SP2, could that be a problem?

that very well could, but I doubt it, have you installed an ASPI layer in your XP, yet? you'll need that for DOS compatability.
You'll eventually need these, anyway.
the ones I linked to WORKED on EVERY XP system I've ever installed it in, but they all also had their ASPI layers down, first.
A toxic agent on a dangerous mission so secret, even I don't know what it is, because if I did, I would have to kill myself. I don't even know who's side I am on.I downloaded those files and it just gave me the error "An error has been encourted".
I tried them all and only one worked, but it said I did not have any adaptech stuff.
wow... ever thought bout just format'n ur comp :-p that'll fix everythign ^_^ also get sp2! wooooo
I have SP2. And I am not going to re-format my PC.
you need the other ones first, and the only one you hit is INSTALLAPSI or something close, it's a dos-box, that runs all the other batch installers for the ASPI layer, then afterwards run that green aspi32.exe, it's the latest update for it, RESTART your system, then click the aspicheck.exe, if it's a green box, you're set.Originally Posted by ZxeroXXX

it was worthwhile, anyway, I can't begin to tell you how many retro-compatability issues that solved for me in XP. If you never know what I'm talking about, it's because you installed those on good advice before you had them.

I don't think that the problem is with Windows XP Service Pack 2 cause I downloaded & upgraded my Windows XP to Service Pack 2 yesterday (which was bugger since I still use dial-up so it took me almost 7 hrs. to download since it is 75 MB) & I just installed X-Port V2 & it installed fine. I also loaded up X-Port & it runs perfectly on my Win XP Gateway computer.
I not sure what the problem is but maybe there is another app on your computer which might be interfering/stopping you from installing X-Port. It's just a guess since. ZxeroXXX, you might want to contact Datel & ask for technical support because it's strange that X-Port runs on my Win XP Service Pack 2 system while it fails to install on your computer so Datel might be able to help you. If Datel can't help you, you might want to contact Microsoft for technical support.
Okay thanks.
