yesterday i bought a router. connected to my pc. al went well. but now i want to connect my ps2 to my router.
i want to drop elfs on my mc and mp3s on my hdd and never have to waste a cd anymore.
    i have a nomodded ps2, and a modded ps2.
    i run execftps.elf with the standard config.dat( boot it with a ps1game. )
now i see (on my tv screen) the ip's thats in the config.dat.
i followed the guide from this side:
    http://lookatthemonkeys.com/html/ps2tut.html#C2
it say that the ip's are changed and you have to burn a new cd with the new ip's in the config.dat!? it also say that you have to log on to your router to see what ip is giving to your ps2.
btw:how can i see what ip my router is givin to my ps2 ,in the router(192.168.1.1)

from there i stucked. .....hopefully with the help of you guys i can move forward......

Whats the IP showed on TV?

    Maybe 192.168.1.101?
If your Router is 192.168.1.1 and your PC has 192.168.1.xxx your fine. Try to ping from PC to your PS2 it should work. I had trouble to ping my PS2 at 192.168.1.101. changed to 192.168.1.9 and is working now.

yes i tryed to ping mine ps2
    but i cant ping it
the gateway is my router, right?
but the gateway on mine tv is diffrent.
    mine is 192.168.1.1
    on tv it's 192.168.0.1 (in config.dat)
do i have to change it ?
i checked the ip given to mine ps2 with the "network disk'' it was
    192.168.1.3 so..
in mine config.dat i have to put these ip's:
    ps2 ip 192.168.1.3
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    gateway 192.168.1.1 (mine router)

is this correct what i'am saying ?
i just want to know of this is raid so i can burn the cd .
I only have 1 blank cd left so...............

    ps2 ip 192.168.1.3
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    gateway 192.168.1.1 (mine router)

should work fine. Your pc should have an IP like 192.168.1.2 and then it works, else try to disable all firewalls, but port 21 should be forwarded by all firewalls automatic.

Let us now, if it works.
