Hey there, i was wondering if a colecovision port on ps2 was actually working?
    I downloaded the homebrew here : http://www.geocities.com/james7780/

it says i need some naplink application, ..However i tried with it .. but no success as i only have a slimline ps2..I've tried booting from the memory card and usb hard disk and edited the txt with the roms i have.. and still no results.. :L

Could anyone please enlight me on this matter.. it is rather frustrating and i been wanting to do this over 2 years now ..So here i am at last asking on the best forum around in the hope to see the light at the end of the tunnel..

    Most kindly and Cordially,

    Micheal

This is a very old emu so i think its hardcoded to be used with naplink and I might be wrong but I think it uses just a standard usb cable.

    http://ps2dev.org/ps2/Tutorials/TUTO...Demo_Disk_Swap

    To use:
    1. Find the Colecovision bios rom "coleco.rom" or one of the hacked
Colecovision roms (the hacked versions normally bypass the irritating
12-second title screen when the Colecovision boots up).
    2. Find some Colecovision game images. Make sure that they are exactly 8K,
16K, 24K or 32K. (Some images have a 50-byte header added, and they
    don't work).
    3. Place the bios rom and your game images in the same directory as
"colem.elf" and other files in the zip.
    4. Edit "FILES.TXT" to reflect the names of your game images and their paths.
The format of FILES.TXT is the same as that of PSMS.
    5. Copy naplink.exe to the same directory.
    6. Use naplink to run "colem.elf".

    execee host:colem.elf

The colem binary, once uploaded to the PSX, will load "coleco.rom"
and "files.txt" off your PC. You can then select a game from the list.

Of course you will need Naplink and the neccessary cable etc to upload colem
    to your PS2.

this is a very old thread ... but I thought I make a note anyway ...

naplink is not just a standard usb cable. It is a USB "Bridge" cable and has a bridge chip in the middle between the 2 usb A ports. A Sharkport (Gameshark) or Xlink (Xploder) cable is the same thing. Try the ps2dev site ... I think there may be more explanation/examples there ...
    PS2 SCPH 39003 - no mod
    XPloder V4 with X-Link cable
