Ok so i came across codebreaker in .elf format. So i transferred it to my memory card. Every time i load it, i get a black screen. I've tried various versions and still no luck. I feel like i am skipping a major step. Every tutorial i read or watch doesn't help. Please, if someone can, help me. I would much appreciate it. Thank you.

Well, I'll give what I do to boot my codebreaker elf.

Start my PS2 with FreeMCBoot without a disc in the drive. Launch ulaunchelf and choose my codebreaker 9.2 cracked.elf (boots ulaunchelf after choosing start game) I choose my codes and go to start game. Back at ulaunchelf, I put in my game disc and launch ESR.

Alternatively, on another of my PS2's, I have that codebreaker elf listed on my PS2's main menu. Saves a little time, since I only have to use ulaunchelf once.

If I have a disc in the drive while booting codebreaker, it freezes. If I launch codebreaker with swap magic (see previous sentence), it freezes. If I launch codebreaker with certain USB devices, it gets glitchy. If my PS2 thinks the disc tray/lid is open, it freezes. Hope that gives you a clue as to your problem.
