Can you boot an Elf file if not connected to a network
Can you boot an Elf file if not connected to a network –
Hi I am only a newbie to boot homebrew software and I wanted to know is there any way of boot the PS2 reality media player for example if I am not networked as I dont know anything about setting up a network.I have a v12 PS2 with the Ghost 2 installed.Do you always need a network to boot any type of elf file or is there any software for the ps2 I can get to boot an elf file for me without getting me PS2 networked?
Thanks I am new to this and I suspect that the only way to boot homebrew software is through a network I hope I am wrong but I proberbly am not.
Thanks for your help and speak to you soon
I'll nicely tell you before somebody else is more rude: use the search. All if this has been discussed before.
But in short, yes, with a mod installed you can make your own bootable CDs with any elf file you want. You need three files:
SYSTEM.CNF (search on this)
a dummy file to pad the disc to at least 10mb in size.
