I have created an IRC Client for the PS2, with enough features to be useful.
-USB Keyboard Support
-Save up to 4 connection settings
-Ident
-Nickserv autoidentify
-Support for changing the font
-Some other stuff i can't remember at this time.

I didn't get it to start! :( It just freezes before anything else happends, and shows the last displayed image (in this case my uLaunchELFskin). Did I do anything wrong? I executed the elf from within the mc0:\PS2IRC dir. using uLaunchElf (3.74) on a chipped console. And I do have a IPCONFIG.DAT in my SYS-CONF dir. (although it's not yet correct set up for internet access). ...
Hmm was the font.bmp file in mc0:/PS2IRC/ as well(its case sensitive..needs to be lowercase)? ill recheck the file to make sure its correct.(edit: ok file checks out right)
You definitly need a controller plugged in, this might be the problem?(it will appear to be frozen untill you plug one in..i plan on fixing this at some point.)
I am using uLaunchElf 3.79 on a v7 ps2, loading uLaunchElf from the exploit.
A side note..if you pack the elf, I'm 99% sure that it fails to work.
you might check with Polo35... he might be able to help you use the gui system for uLE... this way you can use a tried and true user interface... I'm not suggesting that you should add this to uLE.. but use the GUI system and some of the others functions to get a predeveloped interface going... he has a great text editor already developed with a virtual keyboard.
yes I did have the font.bmp in mc0:/PS2IRC, and did try even with and without USBkeyboard plugged in. I didn't pack the ELF and my ps2 is a v9 I think.
ok, well i know the problem isn't with the v9 ps2, since i was talking to someone who was using it on a v9...the only thing that would cause that that i can think of is the controller wasn't plugged in.
ill try and have a new version out with a loading screen and a built in font.bmp file.
this is exciting. I really hope that you keep on developing this app.. **** mIRC =P
