ps2-packer v0.4.5? I see many people still using v0.4.4 does v0.4.5 contain a bug or something and they moved back to v0.4.4 for compatibility? there probably a newer version than v0.4.5 since I was out for nearly a year.

2004/12/27: lkz reported a bug in the lite version only - fixed.
    2005/03/05: added FlushCache(0); FlushCache(2); to be sure...
2005/04/06: added n2e-kmode stub, and changed search path a bit.
2005/04/10: fixed a stub loading bug reported by TyRaNiD.
    added more -kmode stubs.
    tagging as 0.4.5

I seriously doubt it, considering there hasn't been any activity on ps2-packer for almost 6 years... Last commit was April 15, 2005. That pretty much means anyone who compiled a ps2sdk checked out after that time is using 0.4.5 too...

    But indeed, no real changes.

By searching Google, I came across this SVN mirror: [Link temporarily withdrawn]

I'm not too surprised that ps2-packer didn't get any updates though - I tried replacing the compression algorithm used by PS2-packer and found it very difficult to beat the original ps2-packer (It's already too good).

You might want to try NRLPack, the last update was in 2008 and it's self proclaimed as being better than ps2packer and sjcrunch.

You can find it about half way down the page here: hitchhikr SoftWorks

I remember that one, but it was reported to occasionally cause corruption.
I'll certainly like to try to make a similar version of it that isn't prone to cause corruption though, but I don't know which compression algorithm was used......

It's ok I found it :-), is v0.1.2 the latest unpacker?

    Code:
    http://franck.charlet.pagesperso-orange.fr/NRLPack.zip
Is a virus? a variant of Win32/Statik is what NOD32 says.

This the error I meantioned before with the packer
    http://psx-scene.com/forums/f153/fre...9/index14.html (Free McBoot Configurator)

It'd load them via FMCB button press fine but via OSDMenu you'd get a black screen.
