These days the C64 scene is still active, some of the genius coder behind the scene still release cool piece of software (applications, games..)
Like this one (that's an heartbreaking stuff, forewarned is forearmed! )

Prince of Persia C64 - Development Blog: Prince of Persia for Commodore 64/128 released

..we are at the 2.3.9 beta of the VICE emulator, why not bring the éS2 port at the new level?
Please skilled and willing people, take your time to update ps2vice and give it a decent UI!!
Something like the UI used in MC Annihilator or the Snes9x port from ragnarok2040.
It would be very welcome also some more control options through UI
Perhaps, with the 2.2 version (it happen also with 1.14) I can't get the blue screen with a component cable connection to my LCD screen.
It used to work with normal CRT. Weird..

It'll be nice to see recent software getting ported over to the PS2.

I might do that, but I can't right now because of other commitments.

If I was given a choice, I would rather re-port Generator (Or a better Megadrive/Genesis emulator... preferably with Sega CD support) to the PS2, to give it better performance.... only because I have a couple of games that I like on the Megadrive.

But I'll still be willing to contribute.

I talked with the author of the last update, Kranold, he said he will not continue the work for the same reason.
C'mon guys, in this case the source is out there (unlike, for example, the "ps2fmsx" attempt of some years ago, that looked promising and end up to be just an half attempt to do something really good)
Maybe it would be possible to compile as is the new source, for a non-coder like me, following the instructions of the Kranold's readme.txt, but I think a new port, with a pretty UI like that and some bugfix (only a real coder can do that) is so much the right direction!
Have you tried the Prince of Persia C64 port?.. it's a miracle, isn't? Even Jordan Mechner bodily take the his time to comment out this epic development with a funny note..
