I know that ulauncher can copy over network but it's slow. I need to copy emulators and videos to HDD's PS2 partition that use with Network adapter, not for USB adapter. Is there any program that could do?

I hope you are aware that no PS2 program by that name exists.
The proper name is "uLaunchELF" and the proper abbreviation is "uLE"
So every time you write the incorrect "ulauncher" you are simply wasting six keypresses
as compared to using the proper abbreviation...

    Yes.
It is quite slow, mainly because it is limited by the I/O driver system of the PS2.

If you mean copying over the network, then any other PS2 application doing this would suffer the same limitations that uLE endures, due to the I/O system of the PS2, making the operation rather slow.

If you mean connecting that HDD to the IDE bus of a PC instead, or to a USB adaptor connected to such a PC, and then do the work in a way similar to how we use WinHiip or HDL-Dump for game installations (though not now doing it for games), then you have the right idea about what is required to do the job faster. But unfortunately no program exists that can do it safely.

The only program I know of that was developed to do such work had an unsavoury habit of corrupting the entire HDD content fairly often, so it is no longer welcome in PS2 program repositories. (I can't even recall its name right now.)

I also heard that PFS Explorer had a habit of corrupting drives. I have used a different program, pfsshell 0.2a, many times though to copy files in Windows to my PS2-formatted drive which is connected to the IDE interface. I wrote a couple scripts to use for performing directory listing and copying multiple files from Windows to the named PS2 partition. So there are two direct IDE access programs that I know of, and like dlanor noted, one definitely corrupts drives (PFS Explorer) but I have never had a corruption problem with pfsshell 0.2a and I've used it many times to put files on my PS2 partition. My scripts are found on 4shared - 4shared - My 4shared - shared folder - free file sharing and storage

However, since it is a beta version 0.2a, is no longer maintained, and I don't see lots of people using it, just because it works great for me is no guarantee that it won't give someone else a problem.

And yes, it copies files much quicker than copying over the network.

'Free' file sharing is a misnomer when intended recipients of the shared files are forced to join up and pay money for a service they don't want (which I won't do). I am already registered at 4shared with an account of my own, but the site will not allow me to download any files from your link above unless I pay to get a premium account. Possibly you need to share the files in another way, in order for them to allow me free access to them. As I recall that is how it worked for some files I needed to share out to others a while back. (Some PS2Dev Cygwin stuff.)

Personally I'd much prefer it if you could attach those scripts as a local attachment here at psx-scene instead (just make a zip or rar to contain them, and then attach that file). While the site currently is afflicted by a bug that prevents large attachments from working correctly (over 128KB), small attachments like those scripts are never affected by it.

Even so, it is interesting to hear that you've used it extensively without problems, so that it might in fact be safe for wider use as well, after some tests and verification of course. I will have to check it out.

Yes, of course. A modern PC has much more efficient HDD access interface and device drivers than what is possible to achieve with a PS2, where all access requests and responses have to be passed back and forth between the EE and IOP CPUs, by methods very slow relative to modern PC standards. (Because in the PS2 design such I/O access has low priority compared to game display needs, which has top priority.)

You could download each file in folder "pfsshell_scripts_for_windows" that need only two files.

Edit: The deba5er's scripts are the wildcard copying scripts.

I tried to download them that way, but it didn't work at that time.
Each time I tried it I was only linked to an ad urging me to pay for a premium account.
And I repeated that attempt dozens of times, each time leading only to the same ad.

But now when I did it again (many hours later that is) it does seem to work properly without that insane ad interfering. Possibly they had some site problem causing that ad to pop up instead of the proper download pages. But it had the context right, urging me to pay to be permitted the download I asked for, which doesn't really fit a real bug. So I suspect that it is an intentional bug. Just a ploy to trick people into paying needlessly.

I have to say that I lost a lot of my trust in the 4shared site through this 'ad attack'.

Yes, I have downloaded them now, and will test them a bit later.

I've attached the two scripts. I realize 4shared isn't the best way to distribute my files. Back when I set it up, I evaluated all of the free file hosting sites, and it seemed the best at that time. After that, I really never checked into it further, but it wouldn't be hard for me to switch if someone has a better file hosting site to recommend.
