ok, i heard of the xporter to connect the mem card of the ps2 to a pc to load, edit saved file etc.

thats not my concern, i am just wondering if this would work. Ask im asking, i would like to know if ne one has tried it personally and to give me some feedback on how well it works.

i have a firewire port on my pc, which i use for dv editing etc.

the front of the ps2 has a firewire port as well. after staring at the firewire cable, i was thinking of a way to connect a my ps2 to my pc.

i have never tried it yet but figured out that the ports work. the connections would be made from the 4 pin port on the ps2 to the 6 pin on the computer.

here comes my question, would that mess up either my pc or the ps2? and if it doesnt mess it up, what can i do with that connection being made?

thanks for the advice everyone, btw sorry for the bad grammar, as im gettin sleepy after every word i finish typing.........

You can use the SharkPort to connect the PS2 to your PC.
If you can find one they are $30.

pukklink is a ps2 client that uses the network adapter to communicate with the pc. once such application that you can use with it is nport, which will allow you to upload/download saves to your memcard.
