Hi all!! I search a emulator of original neogeo (no neogeo Cd no neopop (neogeo pocket color)) compatible to load roms for the HDD anypeople know this emulator?? THX & sorry for bad english![]()
Sad to tell you, there's only the NeoCD emulator which requires the CD's to play, HDD is not supported.![]()
CaptainHIT I read that the emulator of neo-geo cd is compatible with HDD only you need has create the same Cd/DVD emulator with roms and copy this iso (with emulator, bios and roms) to HDD if you use upgraded version (0.6 c) them load the roms for this iso image on HDD)(sorry for bad english)
But I created this thread because MVS have too much game than neogeocd and I belive than ps2 have any emulator for MVS....![]()
Hmm, I guess you got some wrong information about that. As far as I know you can't depack normal MVS roms, put NeoCD emu and required files to a CD and get that work. The NeoCD emulator needs a NeoGeoCD game in the drive. You can install the NeoCD emulator ISO on your HDD and run that with HDLoader, but it will still require a CD in the disc tray, else it wouldn't work.
Don't get me wrong, I haven't tested this, but that's the way it works.
If I'm wrong then please somebody correct me.![]()
Hi, can you tell me how to burn the ROM files with the mp3's to a CD?
Also, how do I install the emulator? I am using FMCB with a MOD chip..
I too was wanting to play the Cartridge based NEO GEO Games but it looks like you can only do the CD versions?
Right?
Got it... I have to convert audio from mp3 to wav then edit the .cue sheet and burned.
worked great!I ran the emulator off my USB stick.
that´s great that you got it runninng with the music. any chance you could show how you edited the cue sheet?
You can also run this emulator completely from usb without a cd. you don´t get the cd music though. just make a folder named CD and place that in the folder that has the neogeocd.elf. extract all the files from the neogeo cd game and place them inside the CD folder. delete the mp3 files because they can´t be used off of usb.
You didn't understand what I'm saying. It was asked for MVS, so I answered for MVS. You can't put MVS data files on CD along with the NeoCD emulator and expect it to run. Sure you can create an ISO with NeoGeoCD game files plus the emulator inside it and use it with HDLoader. But that's a really old and well known way to use NeoGeoCD games on your PS2. I've got all NeoCD ISO, created every one with the emulator inside and they boot like normal PS2 games and play well. But don't forget that CD system games will work, not the MVS which I mentioned.![]()
