You can set RNM/Primo to do Mode2 (XA) Data discs by selecting "Recording Options" from the "Edit" drop down menu after you open a job in the full application view. There will be a drop down box for mode on the options page that pops up. By default it shows Mode1.
I've never had occasion to use it myself. The only Mode2 "manual" burning I've done has been for video and DivX CD's. For those I used the automated XA mode in NTI's CD-Maker Deluxe that came packed with one of my burner's (it only does CD's though). CloneCD automates my PS/PS2 CD dupes, so I've had no other need to tinker with Mode2 otherwise.
Alcohol, Nero, RNM/Primo seem to be the favorites for the DVD burns though. I pretty much use Primo just for copying DVD's 1:1 or Archiving my system data--unless I need to make more than one copy of a Data CD. I still have a CD Burner installed also, so I can do 2 CD burns at once--a real time saver!. Gotta love the freebie proggie that can do it all!
If it ain't broke don't try to fix it! But, hell if you can tweak that bastard just a little bit more....hehehe.
