    Hi there,

I am using a chipped big european console which boots from memorycard into mcboot and then automatically into hdl. Now I got a component cable hooked up to it and I would like to use the 480p mode and not 576i. Unfortunatly the hint i found in the interwebz saying "push two buttons while the ps2 logo appears" is not working.

How can I achieve my goal?

    Thanks in advance,
    Voegelchen

Read the topic about "GS mode selector". By using thedirect boot on uLaunchELF trick dlanor was talking about, you can do that. As of today, you'll still have to manually select the video mode then launch hdloader, though it is likely that a future version will allow one to automatically start any elf (hdloader in your case) on startup.
