4-player support for SNES Station
I sat down once a few months ago with my boys to have a nice 4 person competition of Super Bomberman. We have a mutlitap for the PS2, but we could only get 2 controllers recognized. So of course, I let it go. I was playing on my computer again (this game is so addicting) and I started thinking how nice it would be to have 4 players playing at once.
So I just went and joined the forums at http://www.gamebase.ca because I wanted to find out if the next version of SNES Station was going to have 4-player support. Before I post of course, I read through the stickys. In the FAQ, I come accross this:
So I go into the other room plug the multitap into the second port, fire up SNES Station, and sure enough it works. I had it in the first port when I tried it that one time. I switched it to the second port, but I guess it needs to be in the second port when it boots up. Anyway, I'm pretty happy that I got this to work.
Q: Can I use the PS2 Multitap for multiplayer SNES games?
Q: My multitap doesn't seem to work, what am I doing wrong?
A: You probably have the multitap in the wrong controller port, it should be inserted into controller port 2. It is basically designed to work the same as on the original SNES.
If I found the answer, then you might ask why I am making this thread. The reason is simple. I never found an answer without joining a seperate forum, so I wanted to make it easy for future users who might have this same problem.
