Hmm I tried to search the board for some Topics but I dont found sth that helps me (that dont mean anything, I`m still a german ass ^^')

My problem is that I have a NoMod PS2 with a HD and now I want the reality player on my Memory Card to Play burned Divx DVD`s. Is this possible and if yes ... how ?
I have already the PS2 Menu on my Mem Card and the HD-Loader/Advance on it too. FTP is possible too. But can my NoMod PS2 run burned DVD`s ? And which Files do I need on the Memory Card to run the reality player or something similar ?
Please help, I hope I dont have to buy a new DVD Player just for my Divx Animes

DO not bother. It can be done even thought it is troublesome. And I think the only way to do it is with a cd that has both the media player and the DIvx.But for animes I don't think it will work. Not this media player or anyone on the net.If oyu download anime you may check them out with G-Spot.They usually are Xvid,or newer Divx,or 3ivx.They all use B frame 640x480 resolution and hight quality mp3,mp3pro wma or ACC.In any combination of these the reality and EVERY ps2 media player is unable to reproduce them without annoying errors. It is to old for this stuff.Of course you may view a 20% of current animes.Just to little a percentage for the trouble you will get to make it work

Ok but I can encode the animes to Divx thats not a big problem ... My problem is that I don`t know how I can run the player on my Memory Card. Which files do I need for this ? And can my NoMod PS2 read the burned DVD`s ?

    Thanks for answers

To run the player on the MC just use the Mc exploit there is a thread about it.BUT I am not so sure that the player will work because when you insert a DVD it has to read it and you don't have a mod.I think in the player there is a help files that has instructions about the no mod usage but they also claim to put the player on the media with the divx..For further instructions and detailed guides reffer to http://ps2r.dg2.org/150/main.html
I think that if you can get in the trouble of reencoding the divxs then try the streaming options.Since you have HD you have the network adapter so connect to the pc and send it.You can do if with reality but I would also suggest to get the qcast turner (use edonkey to locate it)it has an iso and an app for the pc.Put the Iso to HD (you don't have a mod so take out the HDD and use WinHIIP) run the app in the pc and you can have any anime on your ps2 without using a cd media(But you still have to re-encode it to lower resolution.)

You can run mediaplayer from mc or better from HD...Then you can perfectly read dvdrs filled with divx... You might need a few trys but it works (burn slowly , stick to 8 characters filenames).
Weird thing for me is that it often doesnt want to read the last files on dvd ???

    Hi,
I've been trying to figure this out as well.
To run the mediaplayer from either the MC or the HDD, what files do you need to include?
There are 11 files in the PS2 folder in the PS2Reality Mediaplayer 1.50 package, and I'm unsure which one are necessary, as my MC has the exploit installed already.
    list:
    copy
    copy2
    idioma.txt
    LETTER.CHR
    license.txt
    mcloader.elf
    mcupload.txt
    ogg.rar
    ps2media.rar
    SYSTEM
    unrar.irx

    Thank you.

Hey fellas,... I've got Reality booting from the MC, but when I put in a dvd-r with a bunch of divx on it, it won't recognize the disc. Just shows nothing when you go to the browser or try to refresh. Am I missing something here? I thought I may have read at one point that a large TOC disc may be required. Does anyone have any info on this or if you're currently able to use the RealityMP from MC and movies on a dvd-r, please share!

    Cheers
