$1K PS2 homebrew development commotion (contest)
$1K PS2 homebrew development commotion (contest) –
Now if you're among those who could pick out that the title of this thread bears similarity to $10k commotion, a Dance Dance Revolution-based web comic (shameless *unofficial* plug: www.10kcommotion.com), then you've probably figured out I'm some sort of Dance Dance Revolution nut...but how big of a nut, you ask? I'm glad you did....I'm a big enough nut to offer a real cash prize of $1,000 to the first development team to create a quality port of the PC Stepmania to the Playstation 2! Why on PS2? It only seems right; I'm sure any DDR fan would agree with me here ^_^
Now before I dive any further into this post, I need to ask a question: of course I'd like to prove that the cash prize is indeed REAL, but I'm afraid I don't know how to do so....if someone here could tell me how I could officially post the cash amount somewhere for the general public to actually see, that'd be of great help to me. Moving right along:
Things I'm looking for in a Stepmania port:
Autosync feature for stepfiles that aren't in sync with the music
Flexible MP3 support
Multiple Stepmania skins support
Movie background AVI support
Pump It Up plugin support
PS2 HDD support (you'll score MAJOR points in this area)
Ease of additional song installation
Online or LAN play (I know that's a stretch, but if it could be done, it'd be an amazing feature)
NPC dancer support
USB DDR mat support
The team closest to bringing people these above-mentioned features will win the $1000 prize....
But before anything can progress, I need to know how to place the money into an online account that people can view and they know is real and truly there....so can anyone help?
