    Hello,

I just followed a nice guide up here on PSX-SCENE to install kmeaw (http://psx-scene.com/forums/f118/cfw...ll-pack-77294/ (CFW kmeaw + OFW 3.55 + GAIA 2.05 ready to install pack)) and the cfw all seems to be working fine. I'm now trying to access PSN using Charles bypass, but I keep receiving an error at Obtain IP Address, which fails every time I try to test my connection. I've also tried to connect with all settings at automatic, like I used to before the days of jailbreaking, and I still get the IP address error, i.e., it's not connecting to anything at all, it seems.

When I select 'Internet Connection Test,' instead of going through 'Internet Connection Settings,' the PS3 tells me that I do not have an ethernet cable connected, even though I do.

My PS3 is hooked up by ethernet cable to my laptop, which is connected wirelessly to the router. What could be the issue? (For the record, as far as I can make out, Charles and PSN bypass all seem to be functioning correctly, Charles receives requests from the PS3 to Sony's servers, etc. So there *is* data being transferred across the ethernet cable.)

Edit: Just tried installing and running blackbox's FTP server. The IP field is blank when I run it. Should I be worrying now, or is this a common issue that I just don't know the name for?
I should also mention that I used to use the old old FTP server (forgot the name) on 3.41, and I've always used this ethernet cable to get my PS3 online etc.

Edit2: Issue solved. got a new ethernet cable. Not sure why the old one wasn't working, but it's all good now. Can't wait to try out Stacking
