trying to start a group to play on xlink kia –

seems like no 1 is ever on xlink kia to play ps3 games. whats up wit dat??? any way im trying to start up a group of sorts to meet up at designated times to do some good ol fashion multiplayer gaming on our cfw ps3's. whos down?? first well see whos interested, then try to decide on a time to play which i think is the hardest part cuz were all from different places of the plant earth as far as i know. so just reply if your interested and as a group well come up with a time to play.
update 1--- found a link for a wireless setup but it doesnt really work so im in the process in making a step by step video for a wired setup that i have tested and works for the ps3.
update2-- ok i made a video tutorial on how to setup xlink kai. i hope you all get it working and appreciate the 6-8 hours of testing, video recording, video editing and video upload on youtube. again this is my first ever video tut so i hope u enjoy. also there is no music or anything this is pretty much straight to the point and the best and easiest way i could explain it. good luck and let me know what u think and if it worked. if it didnt let me know and ill kindly help u out. heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQleKYRstug good night

u need to get 7.3.1.7. u cant use the latest 7.4 cuz it wont work. also you might need to open a port or 2 but i didnt need to. a very important thing is you ps3 and your computer need to have a wired connection to your router(NO WIFI, EVERY THING HAS TO BE PLUGGED WITH ETHERNET CABLE). from there once u get kia running u need to make sure your ps3 is connected to kai. im not home right now but ill write a full tut and post. it should be up by tonight. also forgot to mention you must have xlink kia running on your pc before you turn on your ps3. this is very important cuz it wont work if dont do this.

i got alot of games 2. i mostly play black ops but im down for what ever. as far as a tut theres a few out there. some say u need a 2nd network card but u really dont. since i had to reinstall my whole computer a while back i have to reconfigure kia and my ps3. but like i said when i get home ill get it all sorted out with an easy step by step tut. the only thing is that we all probly have different routers and we need to open port 30000. btw im running windows 7 ultimate 64bit. heres a quick link to the kia forums for the ps3 community http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/vie...ae68a087257a3c

thanks ill check ur link when i get home, because i have been meaning to try it out. I actually tried once with an old crappy laptop and it didnt work but i just built a nice pc so i believe i have everything i need now. im running windows 7home premium 64 bit via ethernet to wireless router.
just a quick ? for now. once i have it setp how are ethernet wires plugged in...to my understanding u plug ethernet from pc directly to ps3, how will i get internet connection if my lan port is occupied??

you plug both pc or laptop(i use laptop) and ps3 to router. so to clairify you DO NOT connect pc directly to ps3

i seen a link earlier that seemed like one could be wireless but ill have to look into that as well. i myself find it a pain to have my laptop connected via ethernet. but to be honest i like my ps3 connected via cable just seems more reliable and faster. also if u need a extra cable im sure u could get a cable from walmart for cheap.
