damn just got it too. im not keen so i cancelled out. dont mind not having psn
Just because they updated the tos doesn't mean they are banning. Maybe they are just updating the tos? Or better yet maybe they just wanna scare people....I guess it's working. I for one will not let this stop me from getting on psn. That is just a self imposed ban, so I ride this jailbreak hack on psn until the wheels fall off. Talk to me in a a few months when we are still able to get on psn and you have refused to get online because you were a little scared of some words.
Where does it even say there would be repercussions/ban? I think people are assuming and spreading false information. As stated, they don't need to update the TOS just to ban. If they see there is a need to do so, they'll do it.
Still playing over here until they pull the plug!! KILL KILL KILL!!

i didnt get that TOS page shown.....but 5 mins. ago i was playing black ops and my screen totally went grey.....i ripped the plug out so fast i could see what was on the screen......But for some reason i was still able to hear my guns...
I reseted and the ps3 still connects......![]()
Maybe the ban-hammer hits after PSN comes back online!
There will be PSN maintenance occurring between 16:05 and 23:00 on Thursday 18th November 2010. Users already signed in should not be affected and those that have signed in previously may still be able to do so on their PlayStation 3.
We apologise for any inconvenience this outage may cause.

Under community code of conduct:

8)You must not bypass or attempt to bypass any user authentication systems or security feature or attempt to hack or reverse engineer any code or equipment in connection with Sony Online Services (unless permitted by applicable law).
Does anyone know if these are in the current TOS?
The solution is NEVER sign out!
I remember when M$ decided to kill original XBOX 1 games from the 360 live servers, they were thousands of people that decided to stay logged in for days playing HALO 2, as long as they did, even tho no one else could log in, as M$ had killed the XBOX 1 support, those their were already in, could stay in.
So there you have it, if you don't want to get banned or kicked, still logged in, don't sign-out for any reason what ever you do.![]()
