    Hi!

I'm thinking of putting in a new HDD in my PS3, and my problem lies with the PSN games on my account.

I have 20+ PSN games that i bought from the PSN store, and when upgrading to a new HDD, all of them will be deleted (according to posts on forums)

To redownload them isnt that big of a problem, but I can't find a confirmation if, Deleting all on my OLD HDD, and then redownload the PSN games to my NEW HDD will count as being "The same system" as before?

Because, as many of you know, there is a "limitation" on downloading PSN games, "1 PSN game per 5 Playstation systems".
So, When i dowloaded the games onto my first HDD, 1 of those 5 spots was taken. Now, if I put in a NEW HDD, will that count as a "NEW SYSTEM"(?), and at the same time occupy the 2nd of the 5 available ps3 systems?
Or will a redownloading of the PSN games to the NEW HDD still count as the same system(?) and in that way, not take over the 2nd spot of the 5 available?

I hope you all understand my question, as English isn't my native language

    Kind Regards

    //GrK

Just use the backup utility in GameOS. It will backup your psn games as well.

No, it won't see a new hd as another PS3.

Ths Spyhop for the fast reply!

So you can actually backup PSN games through the GameOS? because other have said you cant backup PSN games.

But as long as the New HDD wont be seen as a new PS3 system its all good

So for me to Backup all PSN games to be used on the New HDD, without losing an Activation spot, Do I just need to do a regular backup?

    1.Backup GameOS
    2.Change HDD
    3.Put backup on new HDD

    Or do I need to

    1. Backup GameOS
    2. Deactivate the system through account management
    3. Change HDD
    4. Put Backup on new HDD
    5. Make new account (Activation)
