PSN Plus Only

Just had a thought do you think sony will do away with psn for free and only allow users who pay for the plus service to connect?

If so what are you thoughts?]

I wouldn't mind it if they where no firmware requirements ie. you could play online with 3.21 - current firmware. Meaning that sony figures ok well now they are paying for access who cares if the are running backups etc.

If it means more stability and without FW limitations, sure.

I woudlnt' mind if it went Pay only BUT only after they have shown us free users more stability BEFORE going pay only, that will give us the opportunity to enjoy it more and then tempt us into paying…..as it stands right now, I rather pay for Xbox Live (and I do) than pay for PSN+

and of course, no firmware restriction

They won't do away with free access as it is one of their selling points, the standard is not even close to xbox live who charge, maybe when it is they could consider charging to play games but I don't see that ever happening

i don't care about psn or beeing banned.
I'll enjoy it as long as it's available... so i voted F U Sony ^^

Sony will NOT have mandatory PSN+ sub, it's going to cause more shit then OtherOS, because at this point, you go from *nix user boycott to 12yo kids, and eventually parents bitching and complaining why the advertised "free PSN" is no longer there.. PSN+ is there for two things.

Give you a demo a few days earlier, and take your money for a shitty, slow service.
