PSN Installed Games on 3.60
PSN Installed Games on 3.60 –
So i was wondering if the games i have installed on the XMB that mimic PSN content will work if i was to update to 3.60?
Because they are being classified/installed as PSN so would the system allow me to run them?
Thanks in advance!
-___- No , If this was possible many other people would have got all the games they desired then updated there ps3.
I didnt think it would work
But whats the reason behind it?
Why wont it allow it to play?
Edit: So i have my buddies jailbroken PS3 that he wanted to update, so i installed a Joe Danger PSN game i had downloaded that was made to work on Kmeaw 3.55. So i updated to 3.60 and tired to run it and i just game a the usuall error code you get when it doesnt like that version. So i was thinking it may have worked if i was able to modify the eboot.bin to work with 3.60.
Im new to this but anyone got some input? If im wrong please tell me, and if anyone knows why the PS3 allows legit downloaded content to be run but not pkg installed could you please fill me in?

Wouldn't work unless they were NPDRM signed (Real signed), geohot signed stuff uses static (fake/blacklistable) key so all homebrew we have signed would not work on 3.56+.
Thats interesting becuase when you use multiMANs ebootfix.exe app it creates a folder called NPDRM
Is that anything special or interesting?
Not sure about that but think of signing real and updating being just like installing real+legit PSN games and updating and them still being there and working. Homebrew doesn't work like this because of the signing key the tools use is the same and is blocked.
