PSN Blocked / Users Asked To Update

Well we knew it would come sooner or later!

UPDATE : SONY has finished their maintenance and PSN is now back online. It has been confirmed that jailbreak users still cannot get online. That pretty much means we are SOL for now (for you non-english speaking folks, that means we are Shit Out of Luck). I hope you all got the DLC and PSN games that you needed to. This little adventure cost me over $100 in the store

So far 2 people have reported to me (AUS / EUR) that they are being asked to update to get on PSN now. I have confirmation this is now blocked in Canada and the USA as well. Time to look for a new way to get online. *Glad i bought up all that DLC now*. Actually, based on the many posts, this is affecting people world wide, every region.

Additional news is starting to trickle in. Users on a legit 3.50 firmware are able to sign into PSN without any issues, it seems to only be affecting the jailbroken consoles so it looks like this may have been patched. Please keep checking this main post as i will try and update it with as much info as i get.

It does look like there is scheduled maintenance going on in some world regions but that does not account for why people in NA are getting errors. I figure i will post this as well so we have all the info possible. Before we totally freak out, lets also assume this MAY be related to maintenance.

'The PlayStation Network is offline for scheduled maintenance from 16:05 on Thursday 18 November 2010 until 01:00 on Friday 19 November 2010, GMT. This is for Europe however it also generally means there will be downtime for the US as well, we expect the official US announcement later today.

During the maintenance, you will be unable to access the following services:

* PlayStation Store on PS3 and PSP.
* PlayStation Network Account Management.
* PlayStation Network Account Registration.

In addition, you will not be able to sign in to PlayStation Network from eu.playstation.com. If you wish to play online during the maintenance, please ensure you sign in to PSN before 16:05 on Thursday 18 November 2010 GMT (about 11:05 EST).

Anyone else having problems reply with the following:

1: Payload being used
2: Where you live in the world
3: Error(s) messages

2. Colorado, USA.
3. Didn't get error code, just said I needed to update.

3. No error codes, just tells me i need to update to a newer firmware

Edit: I also tried to login to another account i have, and that asked for an update too. So my account isnt the problem.

1: P3Free No_auth and Default spoofed payload tried, same result
2: New Zealand
3: 80028E06 error (DNS related, could just be some routing issue and non important)

I get this error after I click yes to the system update option, it does not tell me what version its going too but I suspect this is just 3.52 or something.

We need someone with a legit ps3 to see if there is a prompt for an update (already on 3.50 with no jb device)

Anyone with a console on 3.50 want to try to get online and see what the update is? I'd do it, but I'm already at work for the day.

People in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, will not be able to sign in for the next 9 hours or so, the PSN in those countries is down for maintenance, if you were signed in before 16.05GMT, then this wont affect you, if you want to read more, go here PlayStation Network Scheduled Maintenance – PlayStation.Blog.Europe

If you got those reports before 16.05 GMT, then sorry for wasting your time and spamming your thread

You wouldn't be banned as PSN will either tell you can't use the Playstation Network with this account or they send you an email.
